Your journey through pregnancy is a time you will always remember. Knowing you are growing a human inside of you is a feeling words simply cannot describe. This makes it all the more valuable to have images that you can look back on over the years.
Maternity sessions are all about that connection you feel towards a child you are yet to meet, and the overpowering love between you both as you eagerly await their arrival.
Becoming parents either for the first time, or fifth, is an indescribable joy that deserves to be captured.

    FAQ

Q: Can we bring our dog?

A: Of course you can! If outdoors, I would recommend you bring someone who can hold your dog between shots. Please, prepare some treats.
In home sessions lend themselves well to having your pets be captured as part of your family, and I especially love to capture newborns with their newest furry pals.

Q: When is the best time to schedule my maternity session?

A: For most expectant mommies, the best time to do a maternity photo session is 26-30 weeks of pregnancy.
But if you like miniature baby bumps more, you feel light and beautiful, then a photo shoot can be done from 20 weeks.

I am booked 1-2 months in advance, so If you’re expecting and would like me to photograph your pregnancy, please get in contact as soon as you know.

I also have a bump to baby package to save a little money.

Q: When is the best time to schedule my newborn session?

A: Newborn sessions typically take place between 5-15 days following birth, dependent on circumstances. I have found that around this time, parents start to regain their bearings, but their new babe still tends to spend their days in that newborn slumber.

I am booked approximately 1-2 months in advance, so it is best to inquire as soon as possible. We will tentatively schedule your newborn session for the estimated due date and then make adjustments once your baby arrives.

Q: What is the best time for a photo shoot?

A: Depends on your location, outdoor sessions will take place during golden hour (the 1-1.5 hours before sunset), which means the time will change seasonally.
For in-home sessions, the best time is typically mid-morning to noon.
The time of your session is optimized for the lighting, which is one of the most important elements to achieve the most flattering and magical images.
I understand that depending on the time of year, this can mean later bedtimes for your little ones.
We will discuss tips and strategies to ensure a successful session.

Q: What if I'm late for the photo session?

A: I have a pretty tight schedule. Please keep in mind if you are late for a photo session, this will shorten the time of the photo shoot for the time you are late. Try to plan ahead and be at location in time 🙂
If you don’t show up for the session without warning me 6 hours before the photo shoot, you will lose the possibility of working with me again.

Q: How far do you travel for photo sessions?

A: I do photo sessions all over Ireland and beyond if needed.
A travel fee does apply for shoots outside Dublin city.

Q: Do you do studio shoots?

A: I do not work in studios. I do photo shoots at clients’ homes or outdoors.

Q: What if it rains for my outdoor session?

A: I will contact you directly by text if your session needs to be changed due to bad weather.
Usually you will be given the option of shooting at your home on your original date, or rescheduling for your original outdoor location at the next available date.

Q: Will you help me pick out outfits?

A: Your outfits and styling will 100% impact the feel of your session and your final images. And I offer guidance and assistance as needed along the way.

I will send you suggestions about style, color palette and combinations for the whole family (depends on your location).

Q: Do you provide clothes for a photo session?

A: I always believe that your photos should reflect your unique world and personal style, so I recommend bringing your own dress that feels right for you. However, in case of a last-minute booking or unexpected issues with your outfit, I have a selection of beautiful dresses available that will perfectly complement the location you’ve chosen.

Q: What if l'm afraid my children won't cooperate?

A: That’s the beauty of family sessions! Some of my favorite images are from sessions where the kids were just being kids. We will roll with the punches, get them to laugh and capture them perfectly just as they are. My #1 rule is for that hour, act like everything your children does is hilarious. Make sure to remind your spouse of that too!

Q: How long will it take to receive my gallery?

A: Your gallery will be delivered to you within 10 days following our session.

Priority service is available if you need your images sooner.

    Q: Who chooses the images?

A: You will be able to select your favorite images from a gallery of about 100 beautiful images. If you wish to purchase additional images beyond your package inclusions, these are priced at $25 each or $250 for the whole gallery.

Q: What details can be captured during a maternity photoshoot?

During a maternity session, we focus not only on full portraits but also on meaningful details that tell the story of this special time. These include close-ups of hands on the belly, the baby bump in profile, gentle touches, shoulders, back lines, and natural body curves.

Personal elements like baby shoes, ultrasound photos, a small toy, or other symbolic items meaningful to your family can also be included if you wish.

These detail shots add intimacy, softness, and variety to your gallery, helping to create a complete and timeless story of your pregnancy.
